Annual Banquet and Raffle

We want to thank everyone who attended our annual banquet on September 8 and everyone who purchased tickets for our annual fundraising raffle. Over 200 attended the banquet and enjoyed a great evening raising funds for the Fish Point Wildlife Area. Your volunteer support and generosity allow us to keep supporting and funding projects at Fish Point. Thanks to all!

Upcoming Waterfowl Season

Hopefully a few of you were lucky enough to receive a draw for opening weekend. Some success has been had during the early teal and goose seasons on the area. If you have not been out to the area, the corn and the food crops look great this year. With the help of our members all the blinds are completed and placed. Some changes have been made this year regarding how single hunter parties will be assigned zones at Fish Point. There will also be special preference hunts again this year on the area. Gaede Marsh Project

Work continues on the Gaede project. Thanks’ to everyone’s support we will be making payment on our share of the project this year. We are still looking for completion in 2019. We will keep members posted on progress and any future management plans for the area as they become available.

2018 Banquet

This years banquet was a huge success!!!! Everyone had had a great time and many of our guests won some pretty great prizes. Of course the annual banquet would not be possible without everyone's support and generosity. And of course a huge thank you to our sponsors and contributors to this years banquet. Your donations ensured our contiued success in raising funds for our wildlife habitat and hunting areas. We also would like to thank those of you who worked our banquet, your efforts were greatly appreciated. Now we're looking forward to next years banquet and the 2018 duck hunting season!!!

Blue Cheese Venison Burgers
  • 1 Pound ground venison
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1/4 cup crumbled blue cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Mix all ingredients thoroughly but gently and shape into 4 patties. Grill over coals ( for about 4 minutes per side) or until burgers have reached desired doneness. Serve on grilled hamburger buns with lots of crisp lettuce, tomato slices, and mayonnaise
